The 40th annual Festival of Trees ended with the National Art Honor Society's "Gingerbread Dreams & Reindeer Gleams" tree auctioning for over $200, the highest in its division. Mrs. Spade's art students, who helped with the tree, visited the Paramount to see the festival.

The first national rankings for academic teams across the nation were released yesterday. Russell High School is currently ranked at 71st in the nation out of all schools, regardless of size or type (public, private, magnet, charter)

RMS Academic Team traveled to Salyersville on Saturday to compete in the 2nd scheduled EKAC meet. Our top result was a 3rd place finish in Science by Dom Romero! Well done, Dom!

The RHS Academic Team 2024 Pre-Season testing results are impressive. We finished with several students in the Top 10 in every subject. The Russell team had the highest point total across the state. The flier below lists each RHS student who finished in the top 20!

The JAG KY Russell High School Ribbon Cutting ceremony took place this morning. A sincere thank you is extended to Scott Martin, President of the Northeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, and Sherry Crockett, Director of Operations for JAG KY, for speaking to everyone in attendance. We also appreciate Mrs. Belinda Parker, JAG Specialist/Teacher, for her unwavering dedication. RHS eagerly anticipates the bright future that lies ahead for RHS JAG!
