RUSSELL Lorraine Kendall and Beth Gardner Patrick will be inducted into the Russell High School Hall of Fame during RHS Alumni Association homecoming activities next

week. The association continues to honor outstanding achievements and contributions as it inducts the two new members on Oct. 5. The group will also host the tradition of having Red Devil alumni leading the pregame ceremony for the homecoming game.

The induction ceremony will take place at the beginning of halftime festivities. Hall of Famers are individuals who have distinguished themselves as role models for future leaders.

Kendall, a former science teacher, had a love of teaching and concern for her students and colleagues. She also is a prayer warrior.

Joining her will be Patrick from the RHS class of 1979. Patrick was an outstanding student-athlete whose versatility included student government, band, track and basketball.

She recently retired as chief financial officer at Morehead State University after an outstanding career in administration. Her career passion was always focused on the advancement and improved access to quality public education for Kentucky students.

With the new members, the hall of fame will have 38 alumni and 28 community contributors who have been inducted since 1996.
